Day 1, Lima

2 am - Lima, Peru Star Apartments. Not quite as advertised on the internet.

things I forgot:

- proof of yellow fever vaccine

- guide book

- cortisone cream (for some reason my fingers have swelled to small sausages)

- sleeping bag liner (way too hot for pyjama pants, dont wanna wear boxers cuz I'm not really trusting the linen on bare skin)

things American Airline forgot:

- Jordan's bag.

Flight was uneventful, read Better by Atul Gawande (dad, go read it, now) and the person in front of me may have pooed in their pants. Then they lost Jordo's bag then the taxi was super expensive then we realized our hotel was in the middle of nowhere. Almost started to cry when the taxi driver pulled over at 2 am on a deserted street in front of a building with a gate and told us we were at the address. Anyways turned out fine, would be finer with air conditioning or at least a fan and a bigger bed but oh well so the adventure begins!
